Cross Save UI shows Epic enabled, but Epic login loads empty profile

#Help #pcsupport Bungie ID:菊花三剩#4111 Active character source: Steam. My 3 characters (Hunter, Titan, Warlock) display correctly on Cross Save webpage. Linked Epic account name: akin584520 Problem description: The Cross Save webpage shows my Epic account is inside the cross save group. Bungie ID is identical logging in via Steam and Epic. But logging with Epic on: 1. Destiny 2 Epic client 2. DIM (destinyitemmanager.com) I only get blank new-light profile, cannot load my Steam characters. Steam side works perfectly, I can play my 3 characters normally on Steam. Troubleshooting I have already tried: - Fully quit Epic launcher, cleared Epic web cache, restart PC - Verified Destiny 2 game files on Epic - Deleted local Bungie DestinyPC config folder - Tested login on DIM, same blank result - Confirmed Epic client logged into account "akin584520", same Bungie ID Additional note: I have NOT disabled cross save. Please do NOT trigger the 90-day cooldown. It seems to be a backend database sync issue: UI shows Epic is added to cross save, but backend data didn't apply. Thank you for your help.

  • Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Checking your account in our system, we can confirm your Epic Games account is not part of your existing Cross Save setup, which explains why you don't see your Steam characters when logging in on EGS. This means that the fix should be simple as you just need to add your Epic account to your existing Cross Save setup. However, if your Epic Games account appears to already be linked on your end, then this means something has gone awry in the Cross Save process. In this case, the only fix is to disable Cross Save, wait out the mandatory cooldown for doing so plus any cooldowns for recent purchases, then set up Cross Save anew, this time making sure to select and configure all desired platform accounts at once. That said, while you wait out the cooldowns during the time Cross Save is disabled, your characters will still be available to you, but only on their original platforms. Also, please note these cooldowns cannot be expedited or removed under any circumstances, with no exceptions. If cross-save was already enabled when you added the Epic account to your profile, you have likely ran into the bug that prevents accounts from being properly included. BNGHelp will likely check on their end to see if the Epic account has been included - if your Epic account isn't included then you will have to go through the process of deactivating cross-save -> waiting 90 days -> reactivating cross-save so the Epic account is there from the initial activation. Do not alter your cross-save setup until Bungie provides further info on what you have to do, if its a deeper cross-save issue than it simply not being included (which can be easily fixed by deactivating) you do not want to make it a bigger mess before BNGHelp can review it.
