Simple idea and simple execution with lots of QoL for player engagement. While Bungie is working on Unvaulting old content, consider refreshing the current exhausted Reward Track with reprised content from old seasons. Gives players a chance to play for (some) gear that perhaps they've missed, materials, perhaps cosmetics from the season. Let the Reward Track run for a set period of time and then swap to a different season. All the content should already be in the game and simply require selecting the items for the track. Simple player goodwill and engagement.
