Linux Friendly??
Anti cheat software can work on Linux. Since Microsoft orphaned my perfectly good machine, and being on SSI, I cannot afford a new one. Could you at least look into making D2 Linux friendly??
Anti cheat software can work on Linux. Since Microsoft orphaned my perfectly good machine....
Client side anti-cheat will likely never work on Linux. There's technical and legal reasons for this. Further, BattlEye on Linux is a userspace only shared library with no root permission. It has no ability to protect the kernel, scan other processes, or detect DMA and is only suitable for games with a server-authoritative network model with little/no cheating area on the client. Nothing stops you from continuing to run Windows 10. Microsoft did not revoke your usage and if you really like using Linux you should be experienced in using a system without the support of a giant corporation. -
“Linux” on “Handheld” is a big deal, already rumors on a PS6 portable device and even XBox has a branded handheld with Asus.
