  • Truthfully, your best bet is to watch a recap on YouTube. When it comes to farming for Light Level, hit Vanguard Pinnacle activities to speed up the process.

Games an absolute mess story wise, there's a byf video on YouTube with it all but if you've missed like 10 years you won't have a scooby by just playing the game. Start by doing the subclass campaigns, so beyond light (stasis), lightfall (strand), final shape (prismatic), then just try to make progress on something every login, however small, pick something & do it, it's very easy to get overwhelmed & there's no rush now it's no longer live service. Don't worry about power level, just clear your quest menu slowly & try to enjoy it. Put field of view as high as you can, turn on reticle aim centre, turn on full auto firing, turn off controller vibrate, turn off motion blur, try all your sensitivity settings around 7, Inc turn speed, & put your ads sensitivity at 0.7, then tinker with anything that feels a bit off. Default settings are awful.

    • I would use your quest log and track a specific quest. Pick one of the campaigns and just work through that until completion. Truthfully, picking the game up again is a bit of a mess right now and they’re bringing back all old campaigns to make that easier. But TL;DR - use quest log, track one quest, play all that quest through to completion.

Its easier to explain verbally, but here's the deal: -- The campaigns & story missions are where you'll get your subclasses & learn how to use your special abilities. -- The intro missions like "Guardian Rising" and "New Light" stuff will teach you the very basics, but also award your first pieces of Exotic armor & Exotic weapons... which typically enhance your abilities and/or weapons. -- The Ops tab (Solo ops & fireteam ops) is where you go to increase your power level. You're able to modify the activities, and increase the difficulty in order to get a better score. A good score means rewards will have higher power gear. -- My best is advice is to also pay attention to your Guardian Rank. Open your character, tab left to "Journey" and inspect your "Guardian Rank". It shows you're at Rank 2 now. Completing the tasks to get to Rank 3 will lead you in the right direction of how to use different activity modifiers, how to earn currency, which vendors serve which purpose... If you keep following the track of increasing your Guardian Rank, you'll naturally progress your power level as well.
