Here is the thing.

Before you get too excited over the fact that both Bungie and the vaulted content is coming back. The vaulted stuff wasn't that great. I know it sounds like blasphemy to say, but it is true. It was a bigger deal before because we were left with so little and also because it was content that we paid for. Now however we have replaced it. 4 campaigns, 2 which were declared as being so bad that it nearly killed the game and one that gets more praise than it deserves and 1 that was just ok. Curse of Osiris and Warmind was hated and so was its campaigns, short, boring and didn't add anything. Redwar is insanely overrated. I think it got this hype and glory because it was compared to both Osiris and Warmind. And of course Influencers hyping it up after it was gone. Forsaken is ok and in my opinion the best out of the 4, but that is not really saying much. Sure it is just my opinion on these campaigns, but even then, how often are you going to play them ? Once and then never again. So it does nothing for the game. Then we have the Planets. No one cares about the planets because Bungie doesn't care about them. There was nothing to do on any of them apart from Mars and that was Escalation protocol. But now that you can get Ikelos weapons from other sources, Escalation is pointless. Strikes are just that, Whilst many of them were my favorite strikes and still are. It is still just Strikes and they feel outdated. Raids, similar to Strikes some of these were my favorites, but not many people do raids and with how the weapons work in this game, raid weapons aren't superior to any other weapons. Plus also that Scourge of the Past weapons can be gained in the ritual playlist. The dopamine might be running wild right now, but when it settles you are going to realize how nothing there is and how nothing it did.

From what I can tell, the unvaulting has a couple reasons for happening : -Show of good faith to the playerbase who thought it was wrong to remove it -Leaving D2 in a (mostly) complete state for those who want to experience it fully And I think this last one is most important, -Give the Destiny Devs who are still around something to work on while the next Destiny project goes through the pre-production motions I don't think it really matters what you think of the old content. Most players are just excited that the franchise isn't confirmed dead

    • Honestly he’s not wrong. I will say however, I am more excited by this because to me it signals that they realize that destiny is their future and aren’t going to just abandon it for a dead on arrival game that will not be named.

      • Fair enough to have your opinion on it, but why insist everyone else should feel the same?
