The last four years of Bungie/Destiny have been a rough time and it finally got us to this “new future” for Bungie. I’d be interested in knowing what things leadership sees as fails and wins. More importantly, how the leadership seen the last 4 years versus what the community’s perspective.
For all we know now some super toxic items that the community sees may be a positive to the “new” Bungie.
We need to know what the plan is and we should see if everyone is on the same page. A collective vision for the future.
We can’t hold them accountable for anything if they haven’t said anything other than a very vague initial statement.

The wrong list would be so long that ones they have finished reading it, Destiny 3 would be ready to ship out.

They have screwed the player base for well over 4 years…

In my opinion it is imperative to continue to appeal to all types of player with all levels of skill. Not just listen to the most vocal or the “best” or those with a private agenda. Bungie must know the distribution of player profiles - who does what, when and how - so they are already ideally placed to respond to that. They just need to fulfil that and deliver. Of course it won’t be “perfect” because we all define that differently Me? I play solo and am incapable of anything difficult - the majority here are probably the opposite. But we all play! We are all Guardians.

Raising the floor is what caused a lot of the pain that drove people away and then the inane levels of grind wheels for nothing worthwhile. All the casual long term players suddenly found themselves at negative power for no reason except the streamer/meta clone army abusing the game so badly they had to spike it. Then add wheel after wheel to run wasn’t good. That’s all they need to do gameplay wise Narrative wise, they need to stop the retcon spaghetti. The whole EoF saga was a giant retcon and sloppy at that. They did it because most of the narrative was no longer even in the game for people to see the difference.

1 ReplyIf you’re a regular PvP/Gambit player, it’s been a rough 7 years. I’d love to see more focus on quality activities with high replay value, eg. Patrol, Strikes, Crucible, Gambit. That’s the stuff I’ve played the most and it’s all been relegated or abandoned at some point.
