The people who actually did something and not just spam Sony live streams with “we want D3.” Give Credit where Credit is due. Stop being hypocrites.

1 ReplyThe community appears to have won a battle nothing more. Even then Bungie seem to appear to only be returning the vaulted content. Rinse , Recycle and repeat. The 3 Rs of Bungie. Don't get your hopes up to high. Temper your expectations by the vastness of the studios disappointments.

Bump to Infinity and beyond. All you Destiny players showed up when it mattered, voices roaring like lions and we were heard. This is a beautiful result of this great community. Take pride in the accomplishment, be respectful to the developers who have been through so much and have a tough road ahead. Destiny Forever!

5 RepliesEhh It’s great they are doing it, but realistically speaking this could also not happen depending on how much the company has left. It probably will also take quite a long time to do so. But personally, I feel like this is one of those “too little, too late” scenarios. Truth is they should have never been removed in the first place. This just feels like one of those last ditch effort things to me. We will see though.

22 RepliesTemper expectations. This will take months to years. Smart move is likely unvault in batches with red war first then go from there with stability. Hopefully they get enough folks rehired and working then something comes out next year but likely 2028. Would love for holiday stuff to start back up as I liked Festival of the COST and Dawning, etc. Glad there is a future. Seemed likely Bungie was going to be sold for parts and I honestly believed that was going to happen. Glad the future is brighter.

Lets just wait and see. The whole announcement sound like a cry to please play Marathon and we will unvault D2 content. This is Bungie, there is a myriad of ways they could backtrack or put both feet in their mouths.

The amount of times they've fuecked up and the amount of time rettarred people keep forgiving them is insane. D2 = TRASH since DAY 1 or release Wait to see what they will do. Till then Bungie is a joke and sucks at everything they do other than fail. I love Destiny 1 and want it to thrive. I can only hope the updates might give us a tiny taste of what a decent Destiny game used to be like because its not D2. D2 is for no one.

Me personally I'm not at all excited to get to replay content that I did pay for if I remember correctly. But on a more optimistic note Wrath of the Machine is all but Guaranteed at this point.

Take anything regarding old content being put back in with a grain of salt only believe it when it back in game and working day 1 beta tester and day 1 player here for destiny 2

17 RepliesIs this a good sign? Yes. Does it guarantee Destiny's future? No. Unvaulting the rest of the game is perfect for the state of D2 right now. But there are still too many unknowns in play. No ETA, which I understand given Bungie's current predicament. It could take a few months or even several years. That's a lot of content that needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, and we have no idea how many people Bungie will have working on it. And by the time it does come out, will it even matter? Will there still be enough people playing to make it worth it? Will people be willing to come back after another game most likely replaced Destiny?

To be honest, I think it's a matter of course. Remember all that talk about how bringing back the vaulted content is impossible, and now it isn't anymore... I'm looking forward to it—I bought it on release—but I will believe it when it happens. To be fair, those from Bungie who did this back in the day are gone, and now the new developers maybe really intend to correct what was done in the first place. Maybe it is possible now because the technical advancements of 2026 grant them the development tools that weren't there in 2019. However, still, this is Bungie; you should remember that. The return of the DCV content is a necessary move for them because Marathon didn't deliver, and Sony won't grant them another bunch of millions for additional development. Still, the whole agenda from 2019 was an infamy.
