Playing D1 without a monthly subscription
I had Xbox Live Gold when I first started playing Destiny and then moved to Steam for Destiny 2, so I had no idea that all matchmaking activities required Gold. I've been wanting to play D1 again, but without giving Microsoft money I'm locked out of most of the game. Why should I have to pay a monthly fee to a third party to play all the content I've already paid for? It's bad enough they already got 30% of the original purchases. Why can't I at least do the activities solo, without matchmaking?

With it being matchmade/premade fireteam activities (ie raids), you're still using their services for it alongside Bungies own and they want paid for it - the concession is basically 'you can do some things but matchmaking enabled or things for premade fireteams are not included'

Same thing applies for playstation as well. It would be nice to enjoy the game without the need for subscription, outside of having to buy the game and pay for internet, PC does not require any of this and is very unfortunate for console owners to deal with.
