In any case, my favorite animated show is The Owl House. I'm always a fan of a good magic system, and TOH has a really good one. The main trio is great, and all of them have really strong arcs, and while the side characters are a little more hit or miss there's nobody I dislike. The villain, Belos, is also just phenomenal. He's got a great voice actor, and his plan is just so absolutely awful that you love to hate him. Plus, it's got my favorite fictional couple. As far as anime specifically, I don't watch too much of it, but I do enjoy one here or there. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a good one, of course. It gets a little darker than I'm usually a fan of, but it's still really good. Flip Flappers is another good one. Lots of different pocket dimensions that all follow their own rules leading to a show with a lot of diversity in its episodes. You got a mech episode, a horror episode, a DBZ episode, a depressing slice of life episode. It's pretty fun, and there's still a pretty strong overarching narrative, too. I haven't seen it in literally over a decade, but I remember quite liking No. 6, too. Some post-apocalyptic thing. Whack ending and was pretty depressing from what I remember, but I do remember thinking it was neat. Shiki was good, too. No over the top anime action, but a slow burn vampire horror. Sailor Moon is fun if you like goofy monster of the week shenanigans. Also magical girls are always fun. Great characters, too. I wasn't a fan of Crystal, though. I recently finished Trigun, and it's a great show. Pacifist space cowboys, and also a pair of insurance workers are ordered to follow around a criminal for the sake of mitigating the damage he causes so their company doesn't have to pay as much in insurance. I plan to watch Stampede soon. And I also recently finished Witch from Mercury. Despite the title there isn't any actual magic, but it did have big robots. Struck that great balance of starting off really happy and goofy but then getting more serious as time went on. I couldn't stand Miorine, though, which was rough as she was one of our two main characters. 90% of the anime I've seen is just from one of my old buddies dragging me along to watch it with him, though, and I don't really talk to that friend anymore, so I haven't seen any new ones. Which is fine, tbh. I'm not the biggest fan of anime. I like a few, but not a ton.
