Within the next 3-4 weeks...
We'll know what's going on.
So, I might be wrong about a September announcement.
Though by mid-October we should have some idea of what the future looks like for the Destiny Franchise.
One of the devs said, [Time to lock in, going dark for bit].
This is a common practice before a major reveal/announcement.
DMG said something similar.
It's likely then, that we don't have much longer to wait.

6 Repliesdestiny died so marathon would fail so sony would shutdown bungie there is no more destiny stuff coming unless you play tencent's mobile game bungie is on the verge of being shutdown and the remaining devs being fired or absorbed to other sony companies sony will soon either own all of bungie's ips or sell them off to make back some of the wasted $3.7B they spent buying the company bungie are also leasing out a good 80% of their hq building as well

Or you could be one of those hopefuls that think because something happened on a live stream Sony is going to change there mind. Who knows? Not I and I am not holding my breath. I would not want this dev team doing anything with the game after the last 3 years of screw ups over and over and over.

7 RepliesIf Sony releases the PS6 it will inevitably be very expensive. They will need something special to bring in buyers. A remake of Rachet & Clank? No. Or Jak & Daxter? No. Tomb Raider has possibly exhausted most options (two more games in the pipeline). It’ll have to be something along the lines of D1/2. Possibly D3. I’ve no evidence for this idle speculation. But it would certainly get me to preorder a PS6… at any price.

I agree there is something but what do you think they could even do - just announce some future content maybe? There can’t be a team building anything right? They all got fired.

I don't think I agree with the "let go, it's over" ideology. If it happens man wouldn't that feel like a trillion bucks that day!? If not then why not hope for something, let that be something you hold onto, keep coming back to the cosmodrome from time to time. I just launched for the first time in a long time last night and I love walking back into my old neighborhood. Although I will admit I'd be ecstatic for some D2 news. :)
