PvP was better when it was 4v4
I think I’m going to get pushback for this but hear me out. I’m not saying revert everything to d2 vanilla. I’ve been playing iron banner this week and there’s been a lot of frustration. I’ve been wondering if the game would be better if we reverted back to 4v4. More players in a match might mean more lag and other networking issues on top of the overpowered, unbalanced meta. IMO the more players exacerbates the problems that are already in the game. I know someone will say to just go play competitive. And I do but matchmaking takes a long time. I got disconnected from an iron banner match which gave me a 5 minute penalty. So I hopped in comp only to be waiting longer than 5 minutes for matchmaking. I backed out and played iron banner again lol.

I miss it being 4v4 too, but screw countdown. That game mode can stay gone.

I disagree. People have been enjoying 6v6 more. 4v4 belongs into E-Sports and MMORPG PvP like ESO. Not into a RPG-Shooter.

I actually agree. It was more focused and tactical but I think 6’s suit the masses more. 6 is more chaotic and casual which is why people like it but also why people don’t.

1 ReplyMany of us pleaded with them to make the entirety of Destiny 2 5v5 max on at least all the maps except the very large ones. They never listened because they are idiots. 6v6 is simply too much for this game to handle. Spawns, abilities, speed, maps, et cetera. It was clearly never designed for 6v6. Only a few maps can handle that many people in anything resembling a decent game.

We been saying that ever since the "Go fast" update all them years ago!!! It's SILLY ...95% of the maps were made for MUCH slower guardians ( yes even the D1 maps, we were slow in D1 ), and the D2 maps were made for 4 v 4. Burning Shrine.. initially designed to be the ONLY Trials map. It hasn't been good for a long...long time.

Control is so bad now and IB is awful ! Played 4 games one spawn into Al doing game then 3 mercies ….just not motivated to keep playing …small very small doses is ok now .
