It's a random Saturday night, I load into control... my team has 20 points. The opposing team has 60. I leave. I get a 30 minute timeout. GTFO here with this sh*t bungie. If 1 of the 3 devs left could remove penalties from leaving freaking quickplay that'd be great. Oh and I could still go play comp after. Because that makes sense.

All these quitters complain about joining games in progress yet completely miss the irony.

5 RepliesYou know, ima do something and this is to absolutely destroy the other people in this thread First, I absolutely think you guys should really stop trying to act like people are actively going to stop leaving a match, simply put people aren’t having fun they walk away, doesn’t matter at the end of the day, since it seems to get to you lot more then the person who left Second, joining a match in progress should absolutely not be a thing if matches can be this unbalanced. Third, much as it is I know a hell of alot more ways to ruin a game then just leaving it.

This idea of "yeah I broke the rules, but there shouldn't be consequences for my actions" will never not be funny to me.

Surprise surprise, playerbase is in decline so you get left with people who love to sweat

I get 5 mins timeouts only…and i leave often due to: - playing hand-holding, crouch-only teams, using autos or pulses, or mida and jades… - crap maps…and there are alot - try-hards actually trying in qp…this is rare, i usually see these out Wtf is the 30 mins penalty?…that would kill my weekly play for sure

Quit D2. No penalty in that.

9 RepliesDoesn't matter what playlist you're in. If you're going to abandon your teammates, you shouldn't be allowed to play anything with matchmaking. Bungie is holding you accountable for your decision. Like it or not, realize it or not, you agreed to play a match with others when you started it. You broke that agreement. Doesn't matter if the match is going well or not, the answer is the same: Play the game or don't. You ragequit the match, but why? Because your teammates weren't carrying you? Because you don't know that videogames are played for fun? Because your team winning is all that matters to you, even if you didn't contribute to that win? What is the reason?

If 1 of the 3 devs left could remove penalties from leaving freaking quickplay that'd be great.
If you could stop leaving matches would be even better!! Because that would also make sense.

The best compromise would have been to give us a switch in settings to enable/disable join in-progress so that those who feel strongly about it could disable it. But the game is in EoL so that's not going to happen.

6 RepliesIMO, the best solution would be to have no joining matches already in progress and keep quitter penalties. If team numbers are lopsided, bring in the mercy more quickly (rather than bringing in new players to fill the gaps). But there has to be something to discourage quitting because it sucks when people make a habit of doing that.

3 RepliesYou chose to quit. Just accept the slap on the wrist Yeah the matchmaking is f*cked Yeah the mercy rule is too slow Yeah it’a not fun being constantly backloaded into losing matches. Over. And over. And over. And over. I completely agree with you on that But it’s not gonna get better. You can only work with the options you’re given
