Ads in D2
I could see Sony putting ads into D2 to support marathon. Marathon is not making any money and if they put ads in Marathon only like 2000 people might see them. But if they swapped out the player tips with some mcd ads and the cayde statue at the tower with the Colonel they could probably pull in enough revenue to get marathon to season 3.

My immediate instinct is to say I will quit and uninstall if that happens, but really I would need to see how it is implemented and how invasive it is before deciding it's time to call it a day.

People know Marathon exist. If they haven't already bought the game, maybe there is a good reason for it. So having ads, i don't think it would help a lot.
