Cross Save not yet authenticated to the right Microsoft account
I've been trying to like my Microsoft account to my D2 cross save so I can carry over my characters to Xbox. There's a chance that ages ago I linked my OLD Microsoft account without authenticating it. Now I'm trying to link it to my NEW account.
The error I'm getting is:

Whenever I attempt to authenticate it.
How would I go about fixing this? Is this something I can do through Microsoft?

As of March 25th 2025, Bungie removed the ability to unlink accounts from a Bungie profile with the exception of Twitch. Your already linked Microsoft account is the only one that you will be able to use with your Bungie profile, so if it is the old one then you're stuck with that one. Easy way to check which account it is would be to sign out of Bungie.net and then use the sign in option selecting Xbox, one of two things will happen: - You get signed into your Bungie profile, this would mean the account is authenticated for cross-save, or - You get signed into another Bungie account or are prompted to link/sign up which means that Microsoft account is not the one you have linked and as such cannot be used for your cross-save setup.
