Hi there, I have had this problem for a long time now, I cannot hear any game chat but people in my fireteam can hear my mic, there is no indication that someone is talking in game when there are speaking either. I have tried just about every single fix I could find online,
- Setting my default sound device in my windows settings
- Setting my default sound device in steam
- Setting my default sound device in the xbox game overlay
- Setting my playback as default communication and audio device to my headset
- Tried changing my NAT type
- Creating a new CVARS.XML file
- Resetting all my settings
- Checked my age setting on Bungie.net
- Even downloaded D2 on my old xbox to try and see if any sound would come through and nothing.
I've basically given up on any hope of being able to fix this issue as I assume it is an issue with my Bungie account.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out! Please check out our Audio Guide to ensure the in-game voice chat settings as well as your system settings are optimized for Destiny 2: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049196431-Destiny-Audio-Guide If you have any parental controls set up for your system outside Destiny 2, be sure to configure those to allow the use of voice chat as well. It's also possible the output channel for Destiny 2 Fireteam chat is not configured properly. I'd recommend having a look at this thread to troubleshoot the issue, as users here offer different solutions for similar problems: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/259603266?page=0
