Crota. He from birth was expected to destroy and fight for his existence, he was infected with a worm that feeds of destruction and his it's not fed it kills him, He can't show mercy or kindness or he is killed. I ask this court how is he expected to be good or kind if it leads to his death. His farther is a hive God who has the power to hunt him across the universe. He had no choice but to do evil he had no choice in trying to invade earth his will was dictated by a war like culture and a farther who would kill him if he tried to even show kindness he is a victim of hive doctrine.

I don't know if people really understand the significance of the secret cutscene in the Dark Forest amidst the shards of the Traveler. That confirms this IS a Dark Future timeline. Because, the Winnower only shows up there... the Gardener only manifests after the Winnower awakens. In a Dark Future. So, that's confirmed. And Cayde healed our Ghost with Quicksilver Nanites. The Traveler wasn't involved because of the Fungus... The Rot. That's what the Gardener does. Infects. Go inside the Traveler, the fungus is everywhere. Maya sacrificed herself to give us a chance. And she did... because our grave is empty, and this timeline is a Dark Future instance. In Neomuna... there's a mural that is based on a real piece of art of the Madonna. Right before you go fight Calus, you fight alongside Caital... after, the wall explodes behind you and you are directed one way, but there's a room ... and in that room a mural of Maya based on the Madonna.
