No protecting when people leave Comp
Why the -blam!- do I still lose rep when someone on my team leaves the game in comp?? Very stupid

You DO get protection, but only if they leave at stsrt of game (that way, your buddies won't back out to prevent your point loss)

Because you'd gain rep if you won.

I think it only works if someone leaves the match before it actually starts. If one of your teammates leaves the match while it's in progress, you don't get the rank protection. It's annoying, but it's just how it is.
