I am writing to request the removal of Marathon from the "Expansions" tab in the in-game store, or a proper fix to this categorization.
Right now, under the EXPANSIONS section, Marathon is placed side-by-side with actual Destiny 2 DLCs (such as The Final Shape, Lightfall, etc.).
Why this needs to be fixed immediately:
Misleading placement: For new or casual players, listing a completely separate game under the "Expansions" category strongly implies that Marathon is an add-on, new campaign, or game mode for Destiny 2 itself.
Risk of accidental purchases: Players might buy it expecting to unlock new content within Destiny 2, only to realize later that it's an entirely separate title.
Requested Action:
Remove Marathon from the Destiny 2 "Expansions" catalog.
If the goal is cross-promotion, relocate the listing to a dedicated "News", "Promotions", or featured banner section that clearly states it is an independent, standalone game.

3 RepliesEdited by rancidman2: 8/5/2026 5:23:44 PMMarathon DB is already in maintenance mode, so my guess is it won’t be long before bungie has to make a decision.

5 RepliesDont worry it will soon be removed. Destiny 2 is in maintenance mode and probably is shut down soon and looking at Marathon daily player numbers Sony will just pull the plug with Maraton aswell.

It's cheap and easy advertising it'll never happen and the more people that talk about it the more propagated the advertising gets and that's money they don't have to spend they know exactly what they're doing

1 ReplyIs it misleading? I feel like it’s pretty obvious it’s a different game entirely so I’m not sure anyone’s gonna buy it thinking it’s a Destiny add on. Has anyone bought it and complained thinking that?

7 RepliesSeems like a prequel especially after what Marty talked about recently.
