I had a blast last year soloing dungeons on explorer mode. And it helped me do them for real as I could easily learn all of the mechanics in a low stress setting…and get some loot.
That needs to be a constant. All dungeons should have that option. You can even have it that tier one or two weapons/armor are all that you can get and exotics/catys are SUPER rare to encourage people to tackle the real thing. It can be hard enough to find a firearm

2 RepliesA lot of people don't understand that easy for you doesn't mean easy for everyone else. Also, this helps people who want to get into the game more. I do agree that most dungeons are easy at this point but I also understand that not everyone has 7,000+ hours into this game.

You wanna learn how the mechanics work? Awesome. You wanna practice on the boss? Excellent. Knowledge can be your reward. You want the real stuff? Go do the dungeon, you can practically walk through them with a team.

You need help? I help ppl with dungeons quite often. Feel free to ask and let me know when you’re available.😎

Dungeons are endgame content. if you can't solo them, it doesn't matter. just open a fireteam finder. If you can't beat it in a fireteam, you don't deserve endgame loot.

Agreed. It would be easy to do since the code is already there and only needs to be reactivated. Unfortunately I don't think that they'll do it for one simple reason. It was fun.

Yes, but no. I first started playing during beyond light and 30th anniversary, lost of dungeons one need "one person" who kwtd and the other 2 can be mute and still help, i have never needed a dungeon guide unless its for a quest (excluding pit and shattered throne maps) Some dungeons would absolutely help from a guide but its honestly the "big 3" vespers, Sundered and warlords But the rest is "get good"

I thought that was going to be a thing?
-
Yep definitely...such a missed opportunity to have kept the ones they did have in the game... Rite of the nine was a blast...
-
I agree, but sadly this game will no longer be updated, they chose Marathon.

I to enjoyed the explorer more, but nothing will happen as it’s over

I too enjoyed explorer mode. Maybe one featured per week would be enough. PUG fireteams are 99% toxic and most clans I jump in are dead. So yeah.

4 RepliesI'm a person who is strongly against this for raids, but totally fine with it for dungeons. Dungeons actually have emblems & titles attached to solo completions, which means they're designed to be solo-able, whereas raids are not (even tho ppl find a way to). Of course I would stipulate that Explorer mode should not drop exotics or count for triumphs, you gotta be on "normal node" for that. But I dont see a problem with getting materials or world drops while doing a learning run with the tips & instructional texts. With all that said, if you need someone patient to teach some dungeons, feel free to add me. I would ask that you use a mic, as it is easier to explain things & ask/answer questions.

3 RepliesThe game gives you all the tools you need to find sherpas. This is just a commitment issue on your end as you too intimidated and/or unwilling to make or find a post with a sherpa. When I make posts in fireteam finder I leave it on auto join with zero tags becauseI literally do not care whether the person who joins either has solo’d pantheon or just started playing last week and needs to look at their controller to know where certain buttons are. Just make a post that says “looking for guide”. No excuses.

1 ReplyThe employees are all hard at work on this right now.
-
14 RepliesNo, it shouldn’t. And finding a fireteam is incredibly easy. There are even people out there that will sit and teach you all of the mechanics.
-
14 RepliesNot needed. All dungeons are incredibly easy these days. Older ones can be done solo by anybody at this point. And the rest can be LFG easily, no voc, no coms needed. Just a /join

I'm sorry you have yet to have a weapon drop for you. That's some bad luck.
