On mouse and keyboard, if you are pressing Fire while also inputting a directional control for Ensnaring Slam, it will eat any directional control and drop you straight downward (the same as if you pressed no direction). The only exception is if you are pressing Move Forward, then it will only see Move Forward and do a forward slam, even if you are also pressing Left or Right. I tested changing exotic armor, exotic weapons, guns, armor, armor mods, removing all fragments, changing all other abilities, being in my super, running out of ammo, but nothing worked besides using a controller. Sadly I do not have a way to show you that I'm holding a directional key in game in a video format, but luckily this is extremely easy to test. Just hold left click, hold A, press space bar, then press air move. It will always drop you straight downward even though you're holding A. Thank you for your time.
