PSA: It's 'In the Deep' this week until Tuesday's reset...
One of the best adds farms in the game.
If you're like me, you probably have a bunch of catalysts to upgrade.
And to answer the question,
What about special and heavy ammo weapons?
It works, I don't know what it is 👀 about that specific spot on the stairs, but those thrall must be munition couriers for the Hive 😉.
And of course, 200 weapons helps because you'll get full bricks from every ammo drop.
But I've been using this spot for years.
It's very chill, kinda'... the enemies can stack up quick and if you ever wanted to get good at short range sniper ads or hipfire sniper PvE play... this is the spot. The only thing that can be annoying.
The Method:
You play through "In the Deep" from the rotating story mission node on the Moon.
After you kill the boss... you'll pick up a crystal. Wait for the Darkness restriction to pop... then jump off the side of the stairs.
You'll wipe and respawn.
After stay on those stairs and unlimited waves of hive thrall will spawn forever.
If you need a min, there's these little pillars at the top of the stairs to stand on where the Thrall can't reach you.
To change loadouts, access your vault, or take a phone call... yada yada.
I listen to music and podcasts while I do it.
It's as fast as any adds farm in the game because there's no reset or downtime once you start it.
And no rally flags.

1 ReplyEdited by Killapete232: 7/28/2026 4:37:43 AMFor me I utilized shuro chi cp for certain weapons, outside of that I personally enjoyed the preservation mission on the throne world as my main source for completion of all catalyst and my weekly 50 orders. If you do not kill savathuns projection right at the start the adds spawn infinitely, put on a void subclass for devour, and finders and scavengers for ammo generation. This for me is a chill location to get everything done with no worry of ammo or difficulty, and can get your catalyst and orders done without much effort. In the deep is a great source to accumulate kills albeit on rotation, with preservation it's always there and no need to rely on if it will be in rotation or not. Finished all my catalyst by July's first week doing this, and to get the exotic orders as fast as possible I grinded trials for the first 3 weekends to finish them as fast as possible.
