In both PvP and PvE. I mean you could use almost anything in PvE and be Ok with it, but Turncoat is just plain Meh. Even in the alternative fire mode it's kinda Whatever. In PvP it's as clunky as a 120 with crappy accuracy. Are we sure this thing is firing at 140 rpm? It feels slower. Latent Power doesn't seem to adjust the damage profile much in PvP too.
Is there a better way to use this?

I run with the void overshield barrier, pop the perk and just fan the hammer while my overshield takes the damage and I don’t. Overshield goes down? Good thing the catalyst gives me overshield for however long the perk was active :) Overshield heaven

1 ReplyOne of the biggest things to use is the artifact that grants weapons volatile on orb pickup. Volatile kills actually count towards the weapons progress and I can generally fill it up in a single shot due to this. When the perk is active the gun deals about 100%-ish more damage (The gun itself actually doesn't get much of a buff. But the explosion from the gun deals a lot), it also increases from 140 rpm to 225 rpm and removes the hip fire penalty. Basically becoming a better last word since it keeps the stat profile of a 140 instead of gaining the Last words stats. Because of this you wanna try to keep the perk active as much as possible.

2 RepliesEdited by jhermannITJ: 7/21/2026 11:03:33 PMI love it at base (PvE). But yes, there's a better way to use it. As an on-demand buff for focused DPS. Many different applications, search Youtube for the exact cadences/methods. 😇👍💠
