It is just actually so insane to me that you cannot unlink an account from a service (xbox,steam,ps5 ,etc). Destiny 2 has been out for almost 10 years now and probably a lot of us were just kids when we signed up. When D2 first came out I bought it for my original Xbox and then when PC came out I only played on the PC version. So almost 10 years of progress and now I’m in a situation where the Xbox Series X works best for life right now. The fact that something I setup as a literal kid 10 years ago cannot be changed for whatever reason to me is insane. I find it really hard to believe that there is actually NO way for Bungie to fix this. They say it’s for security and I mentioned to them dozens of times I can provide whatever that validates my identity. I’m just going to keep asking on whatever support systems bungie provides until I get some kind of movement. It’s just the most insane system ever. ALSO the solution I see is to MAKE A NEW XBOX ACCOUNT. Like the only option that a multi million dollar game company has is to go nuclear on the xbox account because Bungie can’t make this change???? Insanity. If a Bungie employee sees this, I am just very frustrated with this service and the constant answer being “welp we can’t do it sorry, restart all your progress, or nuke your decade old xbox account”
