Crucible used to be fun
Basically the title says it all. I miss what Crucible used to be. I don’t think I’ve really had fun in Crucible since Beyond Light started. What it’s become now, is even more of a joke than what it was back then. It’s just slide and shotgun now. Why they’d introduce armor sets that reward sliding and shooting is one of the stupidest things they’ve done in Crucible, and they’ve done a lot. That’s my rant. Probably gonna have a bunch of nobodies try to drag me for my opinion but I don’t care. I’ve said what I said.

PvP is a mess ability spam and just unbalanced.

Edited by Khronikos: 7/20/2026 6:51:07 AMIt's really only a major problem in 6s. Too many of these maps just don't support the unhinged movement that the new armors have given people. That mixed with insane artifact juice is indeed making 6s a nasty affair when teams are mismatched. I have started leaving games, and when I am thrown into the many 30-90 games I sit in the back now and wait it out or leave if super small map. This game really needed another major balance pass. Bungie is such a terrible company. Also at tail end of Beyond Light when I joined all the Crucible was... was HC and slide shotgun lol. It's crazy how far it's come only to come back heavy on the garbo. Everything seems slightly overtuned in Crucible. I really wish we could just like tune it back 15% on everything basically. 3s aren't too bad except for excess teleportation, which gets pretty annoying, and then certain combos with teamshooting against imbalanced teams are pointless and horrible to experience. Dunno why but this week's matchmaking and games were not great for a lot in the later night in US. My god it gets sweaty and laggy plus the cheaters are out too.

They needed to implement a timer on how long you have to sprint before you can slide. Currently it's to instant. See people slide from standstill is ridiculous. And slide should not be faster than sprinting. The 180 degree instant control people have mid slide is questionable as well.

1 ReplyYou are complaining about totally wrong things in pvp. I don't care about sliders with shotguns. I only care about seeeing enemy on time and a normal hit registration.........which are totally gone in Destiny 2 pvp.

1 ReplyHonestly, everything that’s fair game is ok with me even if that’s not my play style. The issues that have been plaguing crucible, at least on console, are the unreliable connection (lag) and people using MnK or devices (yeah looking at you Hunter sliding away while doing an instant 180 and landing crits).

I love that extra-long slide on my stasis Titan…trouble is - I detest stasis Titan builds, so I don’t use ‘em (much)! Sliding / headshotting in PvP is above my pay grade…unfortunately! 😉 That is all. Carry On 🖖👻

2 Repliesyeah I'll agree that slide shotgunning is happening a lot right now, it def feels like back in beyond light when special ammo dropped on every kill but if I'm ever on a close range map putting on last word makes it way harder for them to get the kill on you and final warning always gives you the upper hand in corners against them just treat it as a secondary not a primary.
