Okay so there’s a rather common bug where I’ll join a fireteam finder and a random other Xbox player in the lobby has the circle with a line through it on their account.
I cannot interact with this person, I cannot send this person a friend request or speak to them.
It only happens with Xbox players.
I am also an Xbox player.
I am certain these players have not blocked me so the issue is not that.

I've found that every player I matchmake with has the voice thing showing like the one when the player turns off comms, it's like a circle with a line going through it. This has never happened before unless it's an Xbox guy who has his communication turned off & that was rare but this is every player & every platform. Everything on my end is open

That is so weird.

That usually shows when I have my headset on but turn off chat

1 ReplyHavent had this exact issue, but for several months, I've been wondering if there is some "miscommunication" between the platform itself & Bungie/D2. I'm on PSN & I can see my PSN friends just fine when I'm sitting on the PS5 home screen. But if those friends are also Bungie friends, I sometimes wont be able to see them in D2 once I log in. They'll have a black name plate, as if they're sitting on the character screen... but they're not. They could be sitting in a fireteam with another clan mate, but I'll only see the non-PSN clan mate. I cant send them invites or whispers, but if I join the non-PSN clan mate, I can suddenly see & hear them just fine. Other PSN users/friends told me they were having the same issue, so I wondered if PSN was the one messing up communication with D2... but seeing as you're having Xbox-specific issues with other Xbox players, maybe Bungie is the one having some kind of problem receiving info from the platforms, and it results in these weird bugs?

1 ReplyMaybe a NAT issue?
