I feel like without a premade, I have no idea why anybody plays this mode outside of a weapon or armor set. And it doesn't take too long to get armor usually. I am overflowing with ciphers. Also, for those that did solo ranked to the top, you can't tell me your experience was good unless you are cheating lmao? Can you? I can see grinding a few more ranks, but at some point solo Comp seems like a waste of time. The idea... is that incoherent teams don't really gain ranks efficiently, even if there are no pancake muppets on the team. This rank system is horrible, and it rewards nothing but pure win or loss, which just doesn't cut it in the modern age. That might work for a championship or playoff scenario, but it doesn't work for solo's grinding rank. I guess I rarely even play it. When I do, it feels like I bounce to win and loss kinda like Trials, but almost worse in a way if you have a bad teammate or somebody without mic and unwilling to coordinate. The losses simply take too much away with no gain for my actual performance. Also, are ranks literally never going be reset again? Feels like we really needed one more massive pass on the ranked system before they up and left. Sony really makes me angry in the way they treated this game along with not managing Bungie properly. Ranked would have been a ton better with at least highest player score on team resulting in some kind of bonus to rank up. And seasonal at least twice a year resets I would have thought would be mandatory, but I have no idea what they did. Overall, it's just a lame mode that I fear to even start devoting time to.
