VPN usage in a country that has communication restrictions

Dear Bungie Team or fellow users, I might be moving soon to a country that has restrictions on Discord. For this purpose, I'm looking into using a VPN, but I'm not sure how this can impact my Destiny 2 account. I wouldn't want to risk what has been my favourite pastime and form of respite for many years, because of potentially being flagged as suspicious for my use of a VPN. Is it safe to use a VPN, and are there any measures I could take to prove I have no intentions of violating the code of conduct? Thanks in advance for your help!

VPNs aren't against the rules as long as you aren't using them to do things that are against the rules like network manipulation (ie trying to match with friends). One thing to keep in mind is if the provider you're using isn't good (ie they throttling connections that causes you to lag in lobbies) then you might get restricted from Gambit/Crucible because of that. If your VPN has split-tunneling, you can choose to run specific things through the VPN (ie Discord) while other apps etc aren't (ie Destiny 2)
