Can’t say I really blame them though. The amount of obnoxious people out there who think they’re the center of the world is ridiculous. “[i]Get my rez! GET MY REZ![/i]” screamed to someone who is in the middle of a mechanic or otherwise knee deep in enemies (while the person who died did so by overestimating their own skill). “[i]Where are you guys? Why aren’t you backing me up? You’re so slow. Bro f- this I quit[/i]” Screamed as he died to a dreg cuz he ran out into the middle of nowhere and didn’t communicate, while the other two are working through an encounter. “[i]Change your loadout to (my very specific wishes and playstyle), or get kicked[/i]” This while the current loadout is perfectly suitable, but requires YOU to adapt instead (Not saying you do any of this; I’m talking about people in general) I.m.o., there are three things to consider if you’re requesting aid from others: 1) You [u]need[/u] them / are asking them to complete tasks with you. 2) If [u]you[/u] are under external time constraint, that puts unneccessary pressure on them to perform to your specific needs. So play when [u]you[/u] can be chill. Not when your mom told you to take out the trash 45 minutes ago. 3) Be prepared to step in when someone fails or falls. Own that role. Don’t stand there and sh*t on them for dying to a champion you saw coming up behind them. You’re a team. Work as one. It’s not the “Captain Kill and his little sidekicks” show. Doesn’t mean you need to carry. Just be civil and adult. Honestly, I agree communication is sometimes just preferable (and even unavoidable). And yes, on both sides there are a lot of people out there who just wanna mooch off of others and get carried to an easy win. But there is an equal amount of people so far up their own @ss, that they think their sh*t’s made of solid gold.

I agree, if using a mic is a requirement then use one or don’t join. But honestly, the way you kicked off at a couple of replies would flat out put me off. Maybe it’s just frustration but you’re giving off a whole lot of “IT’S ALL ABOUT [b][u]ME[/u][/b]” energy.

If I do a mic-required post, I send everyone in the lobby an invite to join me in orbit... you'd be surprised how many of them cant even join an invite lol... once they join, I boot them all from the lobby & force them into fireteam chat. Then I do a mic check. I'm usually nice about it "hey, dont mind if you've never done this, just wanna make sure you can communicate, if not we're gonna have to replace you" And if they're silent, I boot them. They literally failed the very first instruction. Sometimes I get a really fast typer on keyboard, and that works for certain activities. Its really about the communication, not necessarily the talking... and someone that refuses to communicate is already NOT a team-player out the gate.
