If you changed your Bungie Name about a week ago and are now getting Error 250, the most likely explanation is that you are still inside the current cooldown window. The Bungie Name cooldown is 7 days before another change can be attempted. Wait until a full 7 days have passed from the exact time of your last successful name change, then try again. If you are only “around a week” rather than fully past it, that can be enough to keep Error 250 showing up. One other note: after a successful Bungie Name change, the edit option can become unavailable until another change is allowed, and the updated name can take up to about 10 minutes to appear in-game.
