It’s the people who act like actual bots who don’t know how to avoid fatal funnels and actually work as a team that I personally find to be a significantly larger issue for me.
I haven’t seen a single cheater so far and I’ve played nearly 40 matches of Iron Banner just this weekend, and won most of them as top 3 of my team.
The amount of times I get absolutely mauled by people moving in a stack (which is a very smart strategy) because my team is off birdwatching and pushing fatal funnels is downright insane.
Not to mention I went from a 2.6 to a 2.4 specifically because I got team-shooter and didn’t have any support to counter it. If you’re going to play a competitive mode like Iron Banner, please don’t make it a miserable experience for those who actually want to win and improve their stats by not actually trying or putting in the effort to win.
“It’s a dead game, who cares?”
Yeah, YOU don’t care but that doesn’t mean you need to make it harder for those who actually care about the game. Better yet, if it’s so dead then why are you bothering to farm the armor? You want armor but we’re somehow in the wrong for wanting to win the match? Flawed logic.
So, I can confidently say from my own experience during the Iron Banner this weekend, and almost 40 matches, cheaters aren’t really the issue, it’s people who don’t know which way is forward and/or have no idea how to shoot the broad side of a barn without missing half of their entirely magazine.

Sorry if I'm breaking protocol by naming a player but I learned how to play, exactly what you're saying, by watching u-tube vids by Daltnix. He plays so tactically, retreating when needed and using the map. I recommend anyone trying to get better to watch his stuff.

It has always been like this in every PvP game and will always be. Humans play in different ways and if you get newbies on your team thats how it goes. They lack map awareness, dont know their guns, use wrong mods etc, thats normal. In Destiny many players just rush towards enemies and die and they dont learn anything from it, instantly after respawn they repeat the same behavior. Somehow nothing rings the bells in their head to change tactics. Everybody thinks they are Rambo. I stopped caring long time ago about this and stats so I am having more fun than ever. Sometimes I try to play better and sometimes I just wanna go crazy and try fun crazy stupid stuff I know arent Meta. -
PvP is what it is now . Slowly die out till next year . Just enjoy it while you can .

I don't recognize these names and I think they just haven't learned that part of the game yet. It certainly can be frustrating though. I die a lot trying to run defense for the problems they create ,like where the other team spawns or the flanker. That was tonight and I couldn't get him shot down and so he was consistently getting behind my team. You would think at some point they'd figure that out. I don't quit but honestly I came close that game. They also have to learn get 2 zones and then fight and don't camp protecting the first zone. First, you'll get rolled, give the mega points, and second your teammates are going to spawn in just to get killed.
