The Problem Under Settings → Accounts & Linking, Bungie still lists my old Steam account ("Project Awesome") as Linked. There is no option to unlink it, no button to manage it, and clicking the chain icon or the "Linked" text does nothing. When I proceed to activate Cross Save: My PlayStation account authenticates successfully. Bungie still requests authentication for the deleted Steam account. Since that Steam account no longer exists, I cannot authenticate it. If I instead attempt to authenticate using my current Steam account, Bungie returns the following error: "The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account. Please try again with your linked account for this platform." I have also encountered: HTTP 404 "Page Not Found" pages during the authentication flow. "These accounts cannot be linked. The same platform has already been linked to this account." This leaves me unable to proceed any further. Troubleshooting Already Attempted Before posting here, I have already tried: Waiting the full 90-day restriction period. Logging into Bungie.net exclusively through PlayStation. Using multiple browsers. Using Incognito/Private Browsing. Clearing browser cache and cookies. Signing completely out of Steam. Signing into my current Steam account. Attempting authentication multiple times. Reviewing my Account Linking page. None of these steps have changed the behavior. Why I Believe This Requires Bungie Support From my perspective, I have reached a point where I have no further actions available. The Steam account Bungie is requesting authentication for was permanently deleted by Valve and therefore cannot be logged into under any circumstances. At the same time, Bungie still appears to recognize that deleted Steam account as being linked to my Bungie profile, while preventing me from linking my current Steam account because a Steam account is already associated with the profile. This creates a situation where: I cannot authenticate the deleted account because it no longer exists. I cannot link my current Steam account because Bungie reports that a Steam account is already linked. I cannot remove the existing Steam account because no unlink option exists. As a result, I am completely blocked from activating Cross Save. Request Could a Bungie Support representative please review my account and determine whether there is an orphaned or otherwise invalid Steam account linkage remaining on my Bungie profile? If possible, I would appreciate assistance with either: removing the deleted Steam account from my Bungie profile, or updating my account so that I can link and authenticate my current Steam account.
