Cross Save Got Messed Up
I tried linking my steam account, but the cross save page is displaying a username that's not mine and doesn't exist. Nothing pops up when searching this username on steam. I only have one account. Whenever I log into Destiny 2 with my steam account, it acts like a new player account and none of my old save data is there.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Checking your account in our system, it appears you recently activated and then almost immediately disabled Cross Save. This means all your characters are once again available to you, albeit only on their original platforms. On that note, your PSN account was your Active Account in your Cross Save setup, so that account/platform is likely what you'd want to play on to continue where you left off. Regarding Steam, you already have a Steam account linked, which explains why you are not able to link another one. Said Steam account also cannot be unlinked since the [url=https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/35597981889300-Notice-Bungie-net-Account-Unlinking-Update-on-March-25-2025]unlinking update[/url] from March 25th, 2025. Therefore, even if you made a newer Steam account which you would prefer to use on your Bungie profile, this is unfortunately not possible.
