So glad to see that things are back to they way they used to be.
It was strange to see so much positivity here on the Forum. Praising Bungie for all of their hard works.
Now people have snapped out of it and is complaining about everything, just like before the announcement.
No one noticed that this was sarcasm.

Defined normal, if you mean normal that players now have no reason to stick around, and play longer than yes the game reverted back to what it was last month lol. Frankly if Bungie wanted to they could have just canceled live service after Renegades not even bother with this update.

4 RepliesComplaining is the natural state of the Destiny 2 community. That guy on YouTube that does the Skeltor Destiny videos did one on the Monument of Triumph and at one point said "Wow, Destiny 2 developers, I never said thank you." and my immediate reaction was "Yeah, no one did. Even when we got the things we wanted people still complained."

Yeah I noticed that too! I’m not gonna lie. Since the update my friends and I are having a lot of fun. I haven’t actually “wanted” to play destiny in a long time but now I do. I’m having fun collecting new armor and building new classes which I never really cared about before. Pretty casual player but I’m really enjoying it!

1 ReplyEdited by Nerd_Herd: 6/23/2026 2:17:52 AMThe complaints were what got you the QoL fixes for the last update, the speed of which was it was implemented suggested that many of these fixes were simply sitting on the shelf as the game went to hell over the last few years. Or would you have been happy with the Post EoF/Renegades period that was objectively the worst time in Destiny's history and drove people away in droves. The monument of Triumph finally showed what Destiny should have been moving towards, not this slow slide into ever greater player engagement farming that it had become. People who shouted down the "complainers" and just "accepted" all the blatant exploitation Bungie had foisted on you over the years really should think how greatly this update changed the game for the better, despute almost a decade of bad decision making.

3 RepliesI'm surprised the forum is still here. Figured Bungie would have shut it down already.

"This is what you wanted, isn't it? In your heart of hearts?"

1 ReplyMostly all people crying about pvp. Those people are literally never happy.

How long do you think that people make posts in forums about requesting features, nerfs, buffs even after this hotfix that fixes bakris and solar ignitions in pvp? Because updates, fixes ends here now and everything goes into maintenance mode. -

Bungie hard work? LOL Marathon numbers are once again in free fall. Destiny 2 is having a commemoration of its death after being slowly murdered by Bungie.

While its a funny overall take... (I agree it looks this way) Some of us are still positive... even very positive about the game just hoping its left in the best state possible.. the complaints... even strongly worded ones... are simply to try to get the devs attention to the issues that matter to us before there are no more chances to do so. I am overall extremely positive and surprised about what has been delivered despite the axe to further dev in the game... having a great time overall (and hoping for some fixes) -
The honeymoon period is most definitely over. 😆

Ik right

And like before it’s still mostly PvP asking for nerf. Rightly so at the moment as Hunters are a little bit too hit.

Because it's just a whiff of "fresh air" when they finally listen and deliver that another layer of paint on old content as update
