It takes way too long to earn a single vanguard engram. Can we just get the different armor sets on a daily or weekly rotation? Finally earning a a single engram after a slog session of play just to focus one engram for skirmisher and get a bulwark roll just makes me want to turn off the game.

1 ReplyWe seriously still doin this? And we all wonder why they want to can this game. I mean c'mon man. A community can't be like this nonstop, it's exausting.

1 ReplyApparently they haven't learned that slog is not content and doesn't make people happy and stay with the game

I’m begging you guys…. Please understand where the game is. They will not be changing any of these systems. The dev spokesperson came out last week and said today is the final patch outside of anything absolutely game breaking. Bungie isn’t even going to have a dedicated bugs team on the game. It is over and everything is staying as it is right except 1 shot melees in PVP, artifact stacking and bubble bumping bosses.

I’d like at least a chance of an engram dropping on S or A completion in higher difficulties. especially since the armor isn’t dropping as much as I want it to.

Edited by EMUracing: 6/24/2026 12:47:27 AMI have been playing some of the Vanguard ops, I have 45 cyphers and 5 engrams. To me, this is not mathing up, because it costs much more engrams than cyphers to get gear. At this point, I only consider spending engrams on things that cannot drop in the activities. Realistically, we should get a minimum of one engram for every completion on Master A, with 2 or 3 for Ultimate S+ scores. I almost exclusively play Ultimate activities, and the return is horrible with engrams to the point that I just dont even think about them existing. Maybe when we rank up, the drops will increase?

1 ReplyI played Trials and completed my card. It was very disappointing cashing in and getting only a T3 shotgun. It made me understand why people cheat.

Completely agree, I've been begging for a better way to farm the older armour sets since MoT released. They basically "soft sunset" all the EoF and Renegades portal armour, because it's almost impossible to obtain it now. Based on my calcul-estimations, it's gonna take pretty close to a year, on average, to get a full set of any given "soft sunset" armour with the right stats. 1/2 chance of your focused archetype dropping x 1/4 chance of getting the right tertiary stat x 1/6 chance of getting the right tuning stat x 4 pieces of armour = 192 rank ups of Zavala for a full set of armour with proper stats (on average). And god forbid you want another set with different stats. They really need to either just remove the engram cost for focusing the armour that doesn't drop anymore, or make engrams drop from Ops activities, like people in the comments have been suggesting, or rotate out the armour that drops each week like you'd suggested.

agreed. as far as i can tell i'm getting only +50 vanguard rep even when completing an ultimate S+ grade activity ... and vanguard rank ups appear to be the only source of vanguard engrams. this is way slower than vanguard rep used to be, plus we used to get an extra vanguard engram at about a 25% drop rate per strike.

Edited by Meat Fountain: 6/23/2026 4:11:53 AMDrop one engram per completion. Done, fixed, move on to the next bug. Edit: maybe with an extra loading by difficulty

Same for Crucible engrams.
