Hello Bungie Support,
I am submitting this appeal because I believe my Destiny 2 ban may have been triggered by a misunderstanding or a false positive involving software that was not related to Destiny 2.
A few days before the ban, I downloaded a mod/tool for a completely different game. After thinking about it, I removed the software before launching Destiny 2 because I did not want any possible conflict with BattlEye or Destiny 2's anti-cheat systems.
When I later launched Destiny 2, I discovered that my account had been banned. This came as a complete surprise to me. To the best of my knowledge, I have never used cheats, trainers, injectors, memory editors, automation tools, account recovery services, network manipulation tools, or any software intended to gain an unfair advantage in Destiny 2.
What makes this situation particularly difficult is that I have invested approximately 1,000 hours into Destiny 2 and have purchased expansions and paid content totaling roughly 800 AED (approximately 217 USD). I understand that playtime and purchases do not exempt anyone from Bungie's rules, but I mention them because they reflect how important this account is to me. Destiny 2 has been one of my most-played games for years, and I would never knowingly risk losing access to an account that I have spent so much time and money building.
I fully support Bungie's efforts to maintain a fair environment and remove players who intentionally cheat. However, I respectfully believe that my case deserves a manual review because I do not believe I knowingly violated Destiny 2's policies. The only explanation I can think of is the unrelated software that had been downloaded for another game and removed before Destiny 2 was launched.
I respectfully ask Bungie to review the account activity and the specific detection that resulted in this ban. If there was a misunderstanding or false positive, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to have the account reviewed and reconsidered.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Forums cannot help you and BNGSecurity does not consider appeals on here, so fill in the form linked at the bottom of the following page: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=48629 If 4-6 weeks go by without the ban being lifted or Bungie asking for more info, you can safely assume your appeal has been denied. As noted on the page linked, you are not guaranteed a response. In most cases, you're realistically not going to get a response from them unless they either lift the ban or they need more info from you. Further, an open ticket does not mean that its not been reviewed as they leave multiple ticket types open regardless of outcome, likely to cut down to duplicate submissions.
