Based on the current Crota encounter setup, breaking Crota's shield is still intended to require three sword slams, and the coordinated version of the encounter challenge is specifically built around all three swords connecting within a short window. I did not find a confirmed current live issue in this pass that says Master Crota's shield phase is broadly unfinishable or that sword damage was intentionally changed so the normal shield-break sequence no longer works. If swords are despawning too early or shield damage is applying inconsistently even with multiple clean hits, please include a video showing the full shield-break attempt, the number of swords used, and the damage result after each slam. That would help separate a mechanic issue from a possible encounter bug.
