Hello Bungie Support,
I am requesting a review of my Cross Save situation. My primary Destiny 2 characters are on my PlayStation account, and I was attempting to link a new Steam account so I could continue playing on PC.
During the Cross Save authentication process, I was prompted to unlink my previously connected Steam account. I followed the instructions provided, believing this was the necessary step to connect my new Steam account. At no point did I realize that this action would prevent me from setting up Cross Save again for 90 days.
I am not attempting to transfer or duplicate characters between different Destiny accounts. My only goal is to use my existing PlayStation characters with my new Steam account. Had I known this would result in a three-month lockout, I would not have proceeded.
I understand that the 90-day cooldown exists for security reasons, but I respectfully ask if my case can be reviewed or if any exception can be made due to the circumstances.
I've been playing this game since 2015 I just want to play i beg of you!
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
KINGFIRE1727

Hey there. Unfortunately as it says while setting cross-save up, and on each deactivation page, cancelling cross-save imposes a 90-day cooldown before it can be set up again. All cooldowns are mandatory, they cannot be reduced nor bypassed. In addition, as of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink a platform account from a Bungie Account, so there is no way to unlink an old Steam account.
