A friendly reminder… While you guys are making D3, please keep in mind that your target audience and main source of income comes from your casual playerbase. Most casual players play these games to unwind and turn off the critical thinking part of the brain… in short no overly complex or tedious mechanics.
Best wishes,

Destiny needs to cater to BOTH sides, hardcore and casual. The ones playing the game when Destiny 2 was dry a few weeks ago were the hardcore not casuals.

2 RepliesSometimes I think back to vanilla Destiny 2 and realise we're playing a completely different game at this point. Did anyone finish Destiny 1 and seriously want all the convoluted raid mechanics, loadouts, perks and overblown menus we have now? I know I didn't.

2 RepliesIf you have a spare 800 million and 5 to 7 years to give then by all means email Sony as it’s their decision now, not Bungie’s.

2 RepliesD3 isn't going to happen

Waiittt are you saying that 99% of the playerbase are not streamers? But normal people with normal lives? 🫨

Lol, if thre aren't any challenges, the game will be boring. I'd rather have interesting mechanics instead of really tanky enemies

Sony is treating Destiny like covid, keeping a social distance from the IP. Love to see a D3, not going to hold my breath. I do agree with you though.

So boring boring boring gameplay Destiny isn’t the game for you

ive hopped back in Destiny 2 just this past week (last time i played was witch queen) and while all the new mechanics regarding armor, stats, tiers, etc. have been overwhelming, its nice to know ill have plenty of replayability with making different loadouts and whatnot. The Destiny community has always had this strange desire to want to oversimplify everything, then when everything gets simplified and they can finally brush through it all, they complain about not having enough to do
-
2 RepliesNever gonna happen .

I think marathon taught them a lesson on target audience.

The problem was that they weren't aiming for a particular audience, the problem was they weren't produced enough content to keep players interested long-term. Just remember this is supposed to be a live service game you can't call it a live service game if you're not producing enough content and new rewards non-cosmetics to keep people interested in playing. I just feel like bungee became too overwhelmed; The reason I feel like they were overwhelmed was because Terrible decisions that they made for the company and overall for Destiny 2 Focus and more on less rewards less content and harder difficulties the damage was already done and most of it could not be overturned. I know for sure now people are going to be very cautious when it comes to Future projects with Bungie, because what happened to Destiny 2 it ruined Bungie's reputation.

1 ReplyIt's not happening. Knock it off with this copium. It's getting old and very irritating.

Maybe you let that exist and recognize they finally recognized that the game NEEDs a robust early to mid-game... And they gave it to you. That there are plans to create on ramps to the endgame with options like "adventure mode". Adventure Mode - flying under the radar is an option that gives unlimited revives and... per your request, relaxes on some of those mechanics some find to be overwhelming. To ease into it. The game should have value for all types of players. 😇👍💠

D3? Clearly you didn't get the memo. 😂
