Yes, but that doesn’t mean Zavala is fully retired. Zavala is still the Titan Vanguard, meaning next to Ikora, he holds the second highest position within the Militacracy that the Last City is. The reason I hold him in higher standing than the Hunter Vanguard is because Crow is still rather young, younger even than the Guardian. That, and the Hunter Vanguards in general seem more akin to a Vanguard Operative of similar scale to the Guardian. I do wonder though, what this’ll mean for Zavala. Will he be more active on the field, given that he is no longer burdened with being the Commander. Part of the reason Ikora was so active was because of her Hidden. And what about Sloane, the Deputy Commander. How will the change between Ikora and Zavala affect Sloanes position and loyalties.
