Bungie's current policy is game not launching if you play on linux, and an instant ban if you circumvent it.
There's some weird perception that everyone who uses linux is some crazy hacker, like hacking isn't an issue in the game by limiting it only to windows.
Idk, I just want to play the game with my friends one last time, and not uproot my whole setup just to do so. It'd also set a nice precedent in the gaming industry that isn't indiscriminately hating linux users.
That's kinda it, tbh.

You are welcome to make a post in feedback if you want to see if they will change the policy, but keep in mind that Destiny 2 just received its [url=https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/d2_may_21_2026]last live service update[/url] and has entered into a maintenance only mode.
