Subject: Request to Unlink PSN Account From Bungie.net Profile Due to Legacy Family Setup
Hello Bungie Support,
I am requesting assistance with unlinking the PlayStation Network account currently connected to my Bungie.net profile.
When my brother and I were younger, our parent set up one shared family account arrangement for billing and access across platforms. At the time, my PSN, Xbox, and Steam accounts were linked together under the same Bungie.net profile. We are now adults and need to separate the accounts properly.
The issue is that my brother has been playing Destiny 2 on PlayStation using the PSN account that is currently linked to my Bungie.net profile. I personally have not played Destiny 2 on this setup, but my Steam and Xbox accounts are also connected to the same Bungie profile.
What I am trying to accomplish:
* Remove/unlink the PSN account from my Bungie.net profile.
* Leave my Steam and Xbox accounts connected to my Bungie.net profile.
* Allow my brother to continue using his Destiny 2 characters on PlayStation without being tied to my Steam/Xbox setup.
* Avoid Cross Save conflicts where logging in through Steam or Xbox could interfere with his PlayStation characters.
This was not intended as account sharing or a transfer. It is a leftover family setup from when we were younger, and we are now trying to separate our accounts properly so each person has their own platform/account access.
Please let me know what verification information is required to confirm ownership and whether support can manually remove the PSN account from this Bungie.net profile.

2 RepliesHi there, Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to remove or unlink a platform account from a Bungie.net profile. As of the March 25, 2025 unlinking update, only Twitch accounts can still be unlinked, and we’re unable to manually remove linked platform accounts on a player’s behalf. Because of that, the linked PSN account will need to remain on the profile.

There are no exceptions being made by them regardless of the want/need to separate the account.
