How do you get the Generalist Shell? (default plain ghost shell)
I don't have the Generalist Shell on my account. I saw a reddit post saying that it drops from a chest after killing the Fallen Walker in the New Light tutorial, but I've opened the chest many times and haven't had it to drop. It's not in my collections. I've had the same 3 characters since D1 and I dont want to restart any of them (since all the unlocks take sooo long).
Does anyone know if the Generalist Shell is bugged, or if it's just a rare drop?

I have the same issue, I don't believe there is any way around it. I've heard some people claim that the chest does have a very low drop chance regardless of quest progress/completion but I doubt it

I have been blocked from getting it since it was addded to the game. You were supposed to get if the first time you opened that chest back when the new light quest thing was first added. Problem was there was a secret to also get a ship if you found the 3 secrets in the area then opened the chest. As I was exploring I found them and got the ship on the first go forever blocking getting the shell and I could never get any response from bungo on it to get it fixed.
