Just a Pre-Update Guess at What Kinds of Older Weapons Are Being Updated
I'm not too sure, but I noticed a small trend with some of the older weapons teased in the Dev Insight articles.
Keeping it short and simple, I think a lot of the older weapons being updated are ones that also had weapon ornaments for them. I don't think it will be all of them though.
I mean, just think about it. Pluperfect. PLUPERFECT. I wonder how many people saw that weapon in that one article and thought it was a new one. I definitely didn't see that one coming back. But you know what? It had a weapon ornament. It was part of a seasonal rewards track.
Besides being more popular, Seventh Seraph CQC-12 had the same treatment.
Spare Rations and 21% Delerium also have weapon ornaments and are being updated (obviously not the first time with Spare Rations).
Those are some of the main examples of older weapons being updated. Now we already know that other weapons that don't have weapon ornaments are getting updated as well. But I mean, come on, PLUPERFECT is coming back. I wouldn't be surprised if Temporal Clause could be found on Nessus tomorrow. It was also part of the same seasonal reward track.
But I don't think every weapon with ornaments are being updated. If I remember right, all of the original Gambit weapons when Forsaken came out had at least one ornament each. But Gambit, like Crucible, has had so many weapons come and go that I don't think all of them would fit into a drop pool without over-bloating it.
Hazard of the Cast is not coming back. I just don't see that happening when Breakneck, its better, exists. Those Hazard ornaments are going to gather dust forever.
Basically, I just think a lot of them with ornaments are being updated. That's my theory. We'll see tomorrow.
