I've been playing Destiny 2 since launch in 2017 on PS4. I moved to PC before cross-save existed, and by the time cross-save launched I had already built up my PC account and didn't want to risk losing progress, so I never linked them. This resulted in my PS4 and Steam accounts each having their own separate Bungie.net profiles. My Steam Bungie profile has playtime from Forsaken onward covering every expansion window. My PS4 (PSN: ReigningOver) has its own separate Bungie profile under the name ReigningOver with my D2 launch era playtime. My Steam Bungie account is under the name Reign. I verified this on d2scrub.land and d2oldlightcheck — my Steam account (Reign) passes every window except D2 Launch, and my PSN account shows the D2 launch playtime. The problem is that both platforms already have separate Bungie accounts attached to them, and the March 2025 unlinking policy change means I cannot link them together now. When I tried to link my PSN to my Steam Bungie account it warned me the existing PS4 Bungie profile would be abandoned, and even then it's unclear if retroactive playtime would count. My full D2 history across both profiles covers every single expansion window from day one. Is there any way Bungie can review this manually and grant eligibility for the Old Lights emblem? Is there a way for me to prove that I am the owner of both accounts so that I could still receive the emblem.
