Last time I played d2 was after edge of fate came out and my game ran fine, no spec changes, I haven’t messed with any settings since last I played, but now the game is unplayable. At seemingly random intervals the audio will cut out 1 layer at a time, first will be the music, then sound effects like gunshots(if i’m even able to load in somewhere where I can shoot), then finally ambient sfx, leaving me playing in complete silence. Another issue is menus refusing to load, usually until the sound has come back (most of the time it will continue to load regardless though), for example I will open my inventory screen with my loadout and everything will be blank until the music cuts back in and everything will load at once. As for crashing/freezing, I can really only play for about 5 minutes before the game will freeze then send me back to my desktop after running fine (aside from audio issues). I have updated my drivers twice, restarted the game and my computer many times, I’ve verified the game files twice. At this point the game is quite literally unplayable and I’m thinking of just giving up on it, which is a shame since I just bought renegades and haven’t even been able to finish the campaign since i’ve only had one session where the game was fine and didn’t crash, albeit still having audio issues. I have no idea what is causing the game to constantly crash and run so poorly and why I am having so many issues all at once.
