Stronghold
I understand bungee plans to Nerf stronghold again because some petulant players are upset that their teammates are too busy staying alive to revive them.? Instead they should be thankful that a member of their team is still alive so they all don’t end up back in orbit. If they’re upset with a team member for not reviving them fast enough maybe they need a new team member. The reality is stronghold makes the Titan a perfect member of a team. He’s the one that the other players can rely on to revive them when they’re aggressive style gets them killed. It’s the balance that makes a team. The stronghold Titan is not a high scoring member, but that’s not his role. I’m perfectly happy with that. If everyone plays an aggressive style, there won’t be enough red bars to kill to keep your devour up.
Please bungee stop, catering, and cow towing to the childish adolescence. Let’s all remember that even a great quarterback is nothing without an offensive line to protect him

If using Stronghold as an offensive player, then you wont notice the difference. It just wont offer the ability to block with PB for an entire encounter. Block, gain restoration, and attack! Let the charge rebuild and repeat. You can still rez teammates within a normal duration of a block charge. I personally dislike playing with stronghold titans that block a lot near my. My projectiles cant go through their block, which means that my grenades and GL/Rocket pulses blow up in my face. I need to purposely try to stay away from them in order to play effectively, and then they try to follow me to "help" by holding block the entire time. I have friends who are extremely good with PB and Strongholds, and have completely built into the playstyle. At first, they were a bit nervous looking at these patch notes, but after some time to think about it, it wont really effect them because they attack more than they block.

1 ReplyIt's that PB can be used offensively while being defensive through deflection. It's cheap. I'm on neither side on this one.
