1. What was it that changed Oryx? -Back in Heresy, thanks to the echo of navigation shows oryx as a firm beleiver of the sword logic. Heck, even when he learns that our character killed him, he accepted it and was willing to mount us as the new taken king? But years later when we kill his son, he seeks vengeance on us? This is almost a complete 180 from his original character, what happened to him that made him blatantly disregard the sword logic he swore his life to.
2. Why was Elsie Bray in a loop?- I was hoping that this would be explained at the end of the final shape but, why was Elsie trapped in a time loop to save the last city. In lore, she has been in this loop countless times, having to restart every time she isn't able to save the last city. From Edge of fate I thought it was the intervention of the Nine, but dlc clearly states that the nine can only put things forward in time not back in time. So why is it that Elsie has been able to go back in time multiple times?
3. Who was mara talking about in the queen's court?- This one was awhile back but in one of the queen's court in forsaken Mara tells us to leave, as she is about to talk to someone who doesn't like the presence of the light. Who was that, cause even years later I am still confused on who that person was.
4.What is the nature of the veil?- I was always in the belief that like the veil was the physical version of the Winowner, like the traveler is the physical manifestation of the light. But I feel like if this was the case, the veil would have a bigger impact on the story. Could someone explain to me what it is exactly please?
If anyone can answer any of these questions or at least tell me how to find the answers, I would appreciate it.

1 ReplyI could provide insight on #4, it goes along with something Lodi brings up in edge of fate. Also, would take looking at the Witness' creation scene as a moral "warning". It's up to you.

2 Replies1. Mostly anger and desperation but it isn’t a total 180. The Oryx we spoke to in Echoes was young, righteous and ignorant. The Oryx in TTK was ancient and insanely powerful, he could only sustain himself in part from Crotas tributes. So someone killing him not only took his son but a source of tithes he couldn’t afford to lose. Killing his killer would recoup some of that loss. At the same time, anything capable of killing a Hive God is actually a challenge to their Logic. Oryx not going could be seen as avoiding the challenge to prove the Logic. So it’s sorta a 50/50. 2. She was in the loop to specifically help Guardians learn to use Darkness without succumbing to corruption. In the Dark Future lore there is only one implied causation of the Loop, the Traveler. The reason this wasn’t addressed is because it’s part of the larger meta plot between the Gardner and Winnower that they mostly ignored. Now why her and how it works is a total mystery they never said anything on to even vaguely guess at. She seemed largely unsure of how and why it worked as well. 3. I can’t recall this one. Do you remember the story that was going on at the time? 4. It is the physical manifestation of the Winnower. As to why it wasn’t in the story more. Same as before, it was part of the meta plot that they hadn’t don’t nearly enough work on to utilize at all. The OG storyline was too unique to be changed post release but they had to advance the primary plot. So they just dropped all attempts at trying to tell it and instead just made some references and one lorebook and called it a day. Sadly they crapped all over that book before FS released, likely in a poorly thought out attempt to tell us to not expect anything worthwhile from the finale without actually saying it.
