Cannot connect to Marathon servers (Tapir error)

Hello. I am unable to access Marathon after purchasing the game on Steam. Every login attempt results in a “tapir” error, preventing connection to the game servers and making the game completely inaccessible. I have already tried basic troubleshooting steps, including restarting the game, checking my connection, and reinstalling, but the issue still persists. Could you please clarify: * what exactly causes the “tapir” error in my case; * whether this issue is related to regional restrictions or account access limitations; * and whether there is any way for me to gain access to the game. At the moment I am completely unable to use the product I purchased. I can also provide screenshots and video recordings demonstrating the issue if needed. Thank you.

  • Bungie aren't doing any Marathon support on the forums, they have their own forums over on their help center https://help.marathonthegame.com/hc/en-us/community/topics If you're in CIS regions/Russia, then its most likely a regional restriction.
