ERRORCANNOTNOTAUTHORIZE
Hello,
Fellow guardian seeking help from the creators. I just switched to PC from XBOX. I had a Sony account for destiny ! but I have not played destiny 2 on it. I'm trying to move my xbox characters to my Steam account. Every time I go to authenticate my Sony account gives me the error code: ERRORCANNOTAUTHORIZE.
This is frustrating because I can sign into my Sony account and have no issues. I have my account info and it still not working.
I'm hoping this can get resolved because of the thousands of hours I've put into the game.

Hey there, could you log out of Bungie.net and log back in with your PSN credentials? If it logs you back into this same Bungie Account, then PSN will be auto-authenticated on the cross-save page. That will let you bypass the PSN authentication window. However if it brings up a screen about making a new / linking an existing Bungie Account, that means the one linked is not the one you logged in with. That's also why the authentication was failing. As a final potential workaround - you could consider using the XBox for Microsoft Windows PC store version, since your main account is XBox and you could play it on that.

Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. Just to clarify, you're trying to set up Cross Save for the first time and are having trouble authenticating your linked PSN account, is that right? If so, please try the steps below: 1) Open an incognito window, then log in on Bungie.net specifically using your PSN credentials. If you're able to log in, this indicates that you have the correct login details for the account, and you can then hopefully move on to authenticating your other linked platform accounts and enabling Cross Save. 2) If you're able to authenticate all linked accounts but still get an authentication error as before, then you may need to go through some initial gameplay on your PSN account to make sure it's eligible for Cross Save. To do so, please do the following: - Download Destiny 2 on PSN, ensuring that you specifically launch and play the game with the PSN account you have linked to your Bungie profile. - If the PSN account does not have any characters due to never playing Destiny 2 before, please create one. - Go through some quick bits of initial gameplay such that you reach the Tower. If you run into any cutscenes or get launched into a mission, you can exit out of it by pulling out your Ghost and going to orbit. - Once you reach the Tower, fully close Destiny 2. - Try setting up Cross Save anew.
