The problematic behaviour you described of players just afk blocking is not a Stronghold issue, it is literally a skill issue. There is a TON you can do for your team with Stronghold, if you know how to use it. Stronghold Central has tons of guides on this. Most Stronghold players graduate pretty quickly to actually being extremely useful for their team, once they figure out how to use the exotic. I can't tell you how many times a run has been saved because we had a Stronghold Titan on our team, or because I was that Stronghold Titan. It was a solid, reliable pick that sacrificed the flashy damage of boss oneshot builds, or room nuking builds, in exchange for incredible reliability when you needed to get your team through the hardest content. Stronghold itself was never problematic, it was the lack of skill of beginner Stronghold users that was frustrating people.
Also, why are Ergo Sum enjoyers getting shafted by this nerf too? Ergo Sum was never particularly strong with Stronghold, it was just fun and interesting. There was no need whatsoever for this brutal nerf to an exotic that was finally getting its time in the limelight, especially now at the end of all things.
Please reconsider this nerf, it's unjustified and unnecessary, and ruins a fantastic and reliable exotic that was never truly problematic.

That god that -blam!- isn’t staying after they stop updating. Even the strongholds central guy you mentioned has suggested removing the infinite block from special swords.
